The Model K is one of Steinway’s most respected upright designs, known for delivering the depth and power of a 6′ grand in an upright cabinet. Although this piano was made in 1917, the model K is so popular that it is still manufactured by Steinway to this day.
We refinished this K in our own workshop with an open-grain finish – the underlying wood is made of both maple and mahogany so the grain is quite fine but adds a subtle natural texture.
Although the piano is from 1917, it is truly in excellent condition from the soundboard, pin block, hammers, action parts to the cosmetic aspects. When a piano lives in a stable climate like Seattle, it essentially does not age which is why we confidently back this piano with a lifetime warranty.
