Stan Watkins began his piano studies at age 9 and continued through university. During his high school years he was introduced to a new musical love—the choir—and has continued to enjoy both musical expressions. Following completion of his Master of Music degree at the University of Washington, Stan began a career in Christian ministry in both the U.S. and Europe, with music as a major component. Following his return to the States, he spent six years as a small business owner, before beginning to teach piano in 2010. He currently maintains an active piano teaching studio in Kirkland, WA (www.stanwatkinspiano.com). Many of his students have participated in the Music Development Program from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto Canada, earning First Class Honors or better.
